Goodbye Sister is that rare find. It is written with developmentally appropriate language AND illustrated in a way that conveys depth and emotion. Goodbye Sister is a beautifully written story which avoids euphemisms, uses concrete language of die and death and does so with a lyrical and child centered approach. Ethan Roffler is an award-winning illustrator currently living in scenic eastern Idaho. He is married, with two wonderful sugar bugs, three Guinea pigs, and a teeny tiny mouse. Ethan spends most of his days painting, enjoying the beautiful outdoors, and searching for the ever elusive desert gnomes.
